Katrin Sigurdardottir (Reykiavik, Iceland, 1967. Lives and works in New York and Reykjavik) presents her first exhibition in Latin America at the Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros, with an installation designed specifically for El Cubo. In this piece which merges the drafts of several theatrical stages, one which is the National Theater in Reykjavik, the artist underlines her interest in perception, coinciding with a Siquerian concern for changing perspective and art in relation to public spaces. The work of Sigurdardottir is characterized by an integration of architectonic elements alongside design models of a large complexity. This show will remain on exhibit until February 2006.
